Connect to Uganda

Mission

We exist to mobilize resources and relationships to

empower communities and improve lives in Uganda.

Connect to Uganda
Vision

A Uganda where everyone thrives.

What We Do

Connect to Uganda exists to serve the people of Uganda by creating meaningful relationships and partnerships between people and communities in Uganda and individuals, families, organizations, and groups in the U.S.

We love connecting new people to Uganda. Our role is to act as the catalyst that allows you to directly influence the lives of children, families, and communities in Uganda, and for them to feel the love and hope that your support delivers.

Through our partner, the Lutheran Church of Uganda, needs are identified in certain communities. These needs can fall within a spectrum - it may be medication for a sick child, it may be a gift toward the installment of a borehole well, it may be a permanent church structure in a community booming with potential.

In exchange for your support, we commit to ensuring you see the impact it makes and to keep you connected to the work being done in Uganda.

Where We Work

Connect to Uganda is primarily focused on rural communities in the eastern region of Uganda. Several of these communities are home to Lutheran congregations, many of which meet under a tree or in temporary structures. These churches are pillars of the community. Because of this, we work through the Lutheran Church of Uganda to identify needs and determine the best way to meet those needs. Uganda has the world's youngest population, with 78% of its population under the age of 30. Due to this, a high priority of the communities we work with is to improve the lives of children and young adults.

Currently, in 2025, we are in year four of our 5-year partnership in the village of Bubago. We have funded numerous projects including permanent school structures, latrines, school kitchenn, poultry house, dormitories, playing fields and a nursery school playground. Soon we will be announcing a second partnership with a village in northern Uganda.
